About Numeri

Numeri is an AI-native engineering firm for the accounting profession, Y Combinator backed, building multi-agent systems for practices from solo shops to national platforms, across every service line. We are not a point product with one feature and a pricing page. We are a team that goes to whatever workflow costs a firm the most time, in a service line we have already built for or one we have not yet, and builds it.

The founders

  • Sanchit Monga

    CEO

Built accounting software at Intuit, on QuickBooks.

  • Shubham Malhotra

    CTO

    Built infrastructure at AWS.

Where we started

The founding team has worked in finance and investment banking, and built the software the profession runs on. We went through Y Combinator's W26 batch.

We started in transaction diligence, where a wrong number doesn't wait for next year's review, it costs a live deal that week. That work fixed the principle the platform is built on: in professional services, an output that cannot be traced to its source costs more to verify than to reproduce. The same principle governs a tax return, an audit workpaper, and a valuation exhibit, which is why the platform now serves the whole profession, not the one practice area we started in.

How we build

We build by embedding engineers in firms rather than shipping software with a support plan. It is a harder model to run. It produces systems firms use rather than evaluate, and it means the roadmap is set by working firms rather than by our guesses about them.

We are small by design. Every engineer works directly with design partners, so nobody building the system is more than one conversation away from the firm doing the work it automates.
